The funeral service for Carla J. Beighley will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8th, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview, MN with Pastor John Fuchs officiating. Burial will be in the Elgin Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Beighley, 54, of Elgin, MN died at her home Monday morning, March 4, 2013 in rural Elgin.

Carla Jill Seidlitz was born June 13, 1958 in Rochester, MN to Robert and Betty (Walker) Seidlitz. She attended rural Olmsted County School and Kellogg Jr. High School in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1976. Carla lived her lifetime in the Rochester area, and was employed by Rochester Methodist Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. On September 16, 1985 she married Warren “Craig” Beighley in Duluth.

Carla volunteered at Elgin – Millville and PEM Schools and was a Cub Scout Leader for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, camping, fishing, swimming, and playing board games. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church – Potsdam.

Carla is survived by her husband, W. Craig Beighley of Elgin, MN; one daughter, Cally (David) Murphy of Elgin, MN; one son, Trenton Beighley of St. Paul, MN; her parents, Robert and Betty Seidlitz of Elgin, MN; three sisters, Linda (Ron) Stevenson of Rapid City, SD, Brenda (Eldon) Malwitz, of Elgin, MN, and Donna Schreader of Rochester, MN. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 8th, at Immanuel Lutheran Church – Christian Life Center in Plainview, MN. Memorials are suggested to Cancer Charities of Donor’s Choice.
