Alice K. Hanson, 88, of Wabasha, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center & Nursing Home in Wabasha, MN.
Alice Katherine Overton was born January 7, 1926 in Eyota, MN to Frederick and Dorothy (Maul) Overton. She attended elementary school in rural Elgin, MN. Alice lived in Southeast Minnesota and Wisconsin throughout her life, working as a bartender and a waitress. She enjoyed handcrafts.
Alice is survived by one daughter Dawn; three sisters: Nancy Gusa of Elgin, Bonnie Stewart of Spooner, WI, Betty (Joe) Skelly of Elgin; three brothers: Robert (Shirley) Overton of Rochester, MN, Richard Overton of Leomnister,MA, David (Rose) Overton of Poway, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lyle Hanson, one son Steve, one daughter Melanie, six brothers and two sisters.
A private family burial at the Dundas Cemetery will be at a later date.
