Allen Ervin Graves, 77, of Zumbro Falls, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus with his family by his side. He was born August 6, 1944, in Red Wing to Leslie and Dolores (Arendt) Graves. Allen attended Wabasha County Rural School and St. Pius Catholic School in Rochester and graduated from Mazeppa High School in 1962. He served his country in the US Army. On September 30, 1966, he married Sharon Smisek in Rochester.

Allen lived in rural Zumbro Falls his entire lifetime. He started working for Henn Brothers Transfer and Hosking's Garage both in Zumbro Falls, and then went to Schultz Implement in Plainview, and Bishop & Wacholz Implement in Kasson. In 1980 he started his own business Country Farm Supply. Allen and Sharon also owned Zumbro Valley Antiques in Zumbro Falls and Antiques Etc. in Oronoco. Allen enjoyed building lamps out of tractor parts and collecting farm toys. He also liked going to tractor pulls. Allen was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa.

Allen is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Graves of Zumbro Falls; two sons, Chad Graves of Zumbro Falls and Nick (Kelsey Majerus) Graves of Mazeppa; two brothers, Marlin (Karen) Graves of Rochester, and Francis (Mary) Graves of Mazeppa. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 10, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa, with Father Shawn Haremza officiating. Burial will follow the service in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Mazeppa. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
