Anita Louise McKay, 86, of Farmington and formerly of Plainview, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Trinity Care Center in Farmington. She was born November 27, 1935, in Rochester to Milton and Bethel (Yunker) Uecker. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1953. Anita was a lifelong member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin.

Anita married Charles McKay on September 20, 1968 in Las Vegas. In 1974 they made their home in the Plainview area where she lived most of her lifetime. Anita worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Lakeside Packing in Plainview, she assisted in management of her husband Chucks construction business, she worked at Swedo while she lived in North Branch near her daughter.  She enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with family.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Craig) Wohlers of Farmington, a son, Craig (Kathy) Smith of Fort Ripley, a stepson Bill McKay of Chester, and a stepdaughter, Susan Campbell of Wayzata; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles (Diane) Uecker of Plainview.

In respecting Anita wishes she was cremated with burial in the Scotland Church Cemetery in Fillmore County at a later date.
