The funeral for Ann E. Bennett will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2014
at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Minneiska, MN.
Ann Bennett, 94, of Plainview, MN, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center and Nursing Home in Wabasha, MN.
Ann Evelyn Costello was born November 20, 1919 in Weaver, MN to Cornelius Costello and Mary Johnson Costello. Growing up, she attended rural elementary school in the Indian Creek area. On June 5, 1943 she married Notley B. Bennett in Minneiska, MN. The Bennetts farmed on the family farm where Notley was born. In 1987, they moved into Plainview, MN. Ann was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minneiska and currently was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. .
Ann is survived by her daughter, Mary (James) Roemer of Wabasha, MN; five Grandchildren: Jeff, Julie, Jim Jr. ("Pud"), Jake, Billy; ten Great-grandchildren: Rudy, Cole, Brady, Hoss, Mick, Jethro, Regeena, Winston, Josie Ann, Abby; three Great-Great grandchildren: Grace, Cloe, Ayla. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Notley, and one son, Robert.
