Obituary

The funeral service for Ann Mickow will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 555 East 12 th Street in Saint Charles with Pastor Samuel Morsching officiating.  Burial will be in the Elgin Cemetery in Elgin.

Ann Katherine Mickow, 83, of Saint Charles, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at Whitewater Health Services in Saint Charles.  She was born December 14, 1935 in Rochester to Alfred and Amy (Gallimore) Heyn.  She attended Elgin Country School and graduated from Elgin High School.  On June 5, 1954 she married Norman Mickow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin.

The Mickow's farmed in rural Elgin from 1954 to 1956 and then moved to the Elba area and farmed until 1991.  Ann then moved to Saint Charles in 1991 and worked at as a convenience store clerk at the Holiday Station.  Ann was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ann is survived by her children, , James (Barbara) Mickow of Saint Charles, Michael (Brenda) Mickow of Rochester, Betty (Gary) Pedersen of Dover and Gene Mickow of Rochester; five granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Norman in 1991.

Friends and family may visit on Sunday, September 15, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saint Charles, and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Memorials are preferred to ARC, St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, or Rochester Special Olympics.
