Anna Marie Hofschulte, 92, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday morning, July 15, 2026, at Madonna Towers in Rochester.

Anna Marie was born on July 24, 1933, in Rochester, Minnesota to Joseph and Isabella (Doffing) Hofschulte. She grew up attending rural country schools for her early years of education and then went to Lake City to attend the McCahill Catholic School graduating in 1951. After graduation she went to nursing school in Waukegan, Illinois and graduated from De Paul University in Chicago with a Registered Nursing Degree.

Anna worked in hospitals in Chicago for a few years and then moved back to Minnesota and worked at hospitals in the Twin Cities area. In the 1970's she started working at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester and retired at the age of 65 in 1998.

After her retirement she continued to live in Rochester where she was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending her free time with family and friends.

Anna Maria is survived by two sisters, Theresa Burke of Alma, IA and Sister Mary Joseph of Illinois, and two nephews and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Cletus and Bernard.

The Funeral Mass for Anna Marie will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester with Father Luis Vargas officiating. The burial will be in St. Clements Catholic Cemetery in Hammond following the luncheon. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church with a Rosary Service at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21.

Memorials are preferred to: St. Clements Cemetery Fund or St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church.
