Anthony Carl Pitzer, 35, of Plainview, Minnesota passed away at his home unexpectedly on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Plainview.

Anthony was born on March 9, 1990, in Rochester, Minnesota to Jeffrey Pitzer and Cathy Zabel. He grew up attending school in Plainview and at Kenyon/Wanamingo, graduating in 2009 from PEM High School.  While in high school he enjoyed wrestling and was given the nickname "Hoss". Anthony went on to attend RCTC and received an associate degree. He also attended The Arts Institutes of International MN.

Anthony was employed by Mayo Clinic as an appointment specialist for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Elgin.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Cathy Zabel of Plainview; his father, Jeff (Janet) Pitzer of Wanamingo; two sisters, Natalee (Eliah) Traun of Urne, WI, and Amy (Adrian) Martinez of Shakopee; two brothers, Andrew (Shaniece Fick) Pitzer of Wanamingo, and Todd (Meisje Burton) Fisk of Phoenix, AZ; nephews, Hudson Martinez and Wyatt Pitzer; grandparents, Janet Pitzer of Rochester, and David & Elaine Hendrickson of Minnetonka. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.

The memorial service for Anthony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin with Pastor Josh Moldenhauer officiating. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the Church on Saturday.

Following the service a Celebration of Life will be held for Anthony at the Millville American Legion, 411 Division Street, from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
