Arlene Alberta Link, 98, of Red Wing and formerly of Lake City, passed away early Sunday morning, January 31, 2021 at St. Crispin Living Community in Red Wing. She was born October 25, 1922 in Lake City to Albert and Edna (Vosler) Rademacher. She grew up and attended school in Lake City graduating from Lincoln High School in 1940. Arlene went on to attend the College of Commerce in Minneapolis.
Arlene was employed by Gillett and Eaton in Lake City as a receptionist and secretary. On September 19, 1944 she married the love of her life, Allan Link in Lake City. They were blessed with six children. Arlene enjoyed bowling and playing cards and belonging to different card clubs over the years. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City.
Arlene is survived by three daughters, Joan Schaffer of Red Wing, Judith (Lowell) Harrison of Lexington, SC, and Janet (Thomas) Kirtz of Burnsville; a son, James Link of Rochester; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Link of Lake City; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Meier of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, John and Jerry, a son-in-law, John Schaffer, and one sister.
Arlene's wishes were to be cremated with burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Lake City at a later date.
