The funeral service for Arlene B. Schuchard will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15th, at Grace Lutheran Church, 800 East Silver Lake Drive NE, in Rochester with Pastor Greg Heidorn officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.

Mrs. Schuchard, 80, of Plainview and formerly of Rochester, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at St. Isidore Health Center of Greenwood Prairie in Plainview.

Arlene Beverly Zimmerman was born July 31, 1934 in Saint Charles, to Hubert and Gladys (Richter) Zimmerman. She attended Elgin Public Schools in Elgin. On February 6, 1953 she married Paul Schuchard at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Eyota. They made their home in Saint Charles until 1980 when they moved to Rochester. In 2013 they moved to Plainview.

Arlene worked at Textile Care Services in Rochester for many years, and then at Willow Creek Jr. High School in the cafeteria for several years. She enjoyed baking for her family and loved being with her grandkids. Arlene was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rochester.

Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Paul Schuchard of Plainview; three sons, Vernon "Vern" Schuchard of Spring Lake Park, Dale (Kristine) Schuchard of Kasson, and Ranard "Ray" (Kolette) Schuchard of Eyota; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, and Brittany and three great-grandchildren, Erica, Breanna, and Kaden; and one brother, Marvin Zimmerman of Eyota. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one nephew, and one niece.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
