The funeral for Arnold O. Schroeder will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester with Rev. Joel Haak officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.

Mr. Schroeder, 101, of Rochester, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth in Rochester.

Arnold Otto Schroeder was born August 10, 1912 in Haverhill Township, Olmsted County to Henry and Bertha (Wolfgram) Schroeder.
On September 18, 1934 Arnold married Leola M. Gerths at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Potsdam.

Arnold and Leola lived and farmed on the same farm in Haverhill Township their entire working lives, until Arnold moved into Samaritan Bethany on Eighth in Rochester. Arnold enjoyed gardening and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester.

He is survived by one son, Jim (Linda) Schroeder of Rochester; two daughters, Marlys Sass of Chatfield, MN and Lois "Sally" Clobes of Lewiston, MN; fourteen grandchildren, thirty- two great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Leola in 2003, and eleven siblings.

Friends and family may visit from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26th, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
