The memorial service for Arvid M. Wright will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel in Lake City, MN with Bill Wohlers officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery in rural Lake City.

Mr. Wright, 73, of Plainview, MN and formerly of Lake City, MN died Monday afternoon, October 21, 2013 at St. Elizabeths Health Care Center in Wabasha, MN.

Arvid Marlyn Wright was born October 16, 1940 in Lake City, MN to Marlyn and Glanda (Schumann) Wright. He grew up on his family's farm and attended the Jacksonville School in rural Wabasha County, and graduated in 1958 from Wabasha High School. Arvid lived his entire life time in the Lake City and Plainview area. He worked as a farm laborer his entire life.

Arvid is survived by four daughters, Dawn (Ron) Hendershot of Ellsworth, WI, Lori Wright of Lake City, MN, Cheryl (Neil) Brogger of Dennison, MN, and Susan (Roger) Seeger of Hastings, MN; one son, Greg Wright of North Mankato, MN; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Haglund of Lake City, MN; one brother, Lyle (Rose) Wright of Lake City, MN; one sister-in-law, Tootie Wright of Red Wing, MN; and a special friend, Gloria Bloom of Wabasha, MN; uncle and aunt, Maynard and Jeanette Wright of Red Wing, MN; and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Lloyd and John, and one granddaughter Courtney.

Friends and family may visit from 12:00 Noon until time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
