Barbara Florence Ellringer, 84, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. She was born on May 6, 1940, in Wabasha County, Minnesota to William and Florence (Wentworth) Lewis. She graduated from Plainview Community Schools. On September 3, 1960, she married Donald Ellringer at the Community Presbyterian Church in Plainview.

Barbara lived her entire lifetime in the Plainview area. She worked in retail sales for 40 years, and at Mallard Seed Company for 10 years. Barbara enjoyed working on craft projects, going for long walks, was a 500-card player and liked to play card bingo. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Barbara was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Plainview.

Barbara is survived by her children, Patricia (Arlen) Gronseth of Rochester, and Thoms (Diane) Ellringer of Plainview; four grandchildren, Christy Dietz, Jenny Sjoquist, Brett Ellringer, and AJ Ellringer; two great-grandchildren, Lennon Ellringer, and Foxton Dietz; and two brothers, George (Mary) Lewis of Florida, and Donald Lewis of Plainview. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Floyd and John.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, at the Community Presbyterian Church in Plainview with Pastor Amy Kosari officiating. The burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
