Bruce Nash Hanson, 61, of Millville, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in rural Millville.  He was born November 28, 1958 in Forest City, IA to Dennis and Faye (Larson) Hanson.  He graduated from Shenandoah High School in Shenandoah, IA. Bruce was a self-employed builder.

Bruce especially enjoyed being outdoors, was a nature lover, and loved to hike the trails on his farm with his Border Collie companion, Amos.  He was a very kind thoughtful person, loved music, and had the best sense of humor.  Bruce was very devoted to his mother.  His faith was very important to him and he had a strong presence to the Catholic Church.  He was a faithful participant in the Adoration Meditation of the Church, and was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview.

We are complex human beings.  It is rare to meet someone and know "What you see is what you get."  That was Bruce.

Bruce is survived by his mother, Faye (Jim) Donadio of Rochester, a daughter, Angela (Jack) Hutchcraft-Frazer of Carbondale, IL; two grandchildren, Annie and Robert; and a brother, Jeff (Ellen) Hanson of St. Cloud.  He was preceded in death by his father.

A graveside service will be held at St. Joachim's Catholic Cemetery in Plainview.
