The funeral service for Catherine "Cathy" J. Mills will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23rd, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, corner of 18th Avenue NW & 55th Street NW in Rochester with Reverend Monsignor Robert Meyer officiating. Cathy died early Friday morning, August 16, 2013 at her home in Rochester.

Catherine Joan Graling was born May 5, 1936 in Rochester, MN to Roland and Ada (Cole) Graling. She attended school in Wykoff, MN graduating from Wykoff High School in 1954. Cathy then went on to Methodist Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester graduating in 1957. Following graduation from nursing school Cathy worked as a charge nurse for Rochester Methodist Hospital until her retirement in 1991. Cathy lived most of her adult life in Rochester. She was a member of Homestead United Methodist Church in Rochester. Cathy enjoyed gardening, her pet cats, reading, politics, and watching movies. She was an avid follower of the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings.

Cathy is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Pete) Barden –Timbeross of Rochester; ex-husband and companion, Robert "Bob" Mills of Rochester; one granddaughter, Charise (Kurt) Mehrkens of Minneapolis; two great-granddaughters, Melanie and Harper; one sister, Mary Graling of Seattle, WA; and two brothers, Charles Graling of Cherry Grove, MN and Donald Graling of Eugene, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Jesse Barden.

Friends and family may visit Friday, August 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to time of service at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester. Memorials are preferred to "Paws and Claws".
