Charles "CJ" Jay Sachs, III, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from the results of a traffic accident. He was born September 16, 1998, in Red Wing, to Charles and Carolyn (Angell) Sachs, Jr. He attended Dover-Eyota schools and graduated in 2017 from Dover-Eyota High School. He went on to attend NICC and graduated with an associate degree in Dairy Science.

CJ lived most of his lifetime in the Eyota area where he owned and operated the Orange Creek Dairy. He was an owner of registered Brown Swiss Cows. CJ was an Allis Chalmer tractor afficionado and loved his Brown Swiss Cows. He loved to talk about agriculture with anyone and was a proud patron of Plainview Milk Products. CJ was a big supporter of the Langford Area FFA Chapter in Langford, SD, and a member of the Minnesota Brown Swiss Association. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Eyota.

CJ is survived by his parents, Charles Jay Sachs, Jr., and Carolyn L. Sachs of Eyota; two sisters, Allison Sachs of Bloomington, and AnnaMarie Sachs of Groton, SD; maternal grandparents, Robert and Rita Angell of Hampton, MN; paternal grandparents, Charles J. Sachs, Sr. and Berniece Sachs of Eyota; and his significant other, Emily Siemer of Eyota; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that felt like family.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles with Father Jonathan Fasnacht officiating. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, at the Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
