Cheryl Lee Theel, 63, of rural Millville, passed away on Wednesday evening December 8, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus surrounded by her family. She was born January 11, 1958, in Rochester to Alton & Ardyce (Heyn) Schroeder. She attended school in Elgin and graduated from Elgin-Millville High School. On April 15, 1977, she married David Theel at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin.

Cheryl enjoyed working on the farm with David and taking care of the animals. She also loved working with the kids at the Elgin and Plainview School's as a Librarian Para. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and going in family trips. Cheryl especially love spending time with the grandkids. She was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin and served on the Board of Education.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, David Theel of Millville; a son, Mark (Monica) Theel of Millville; and a daughter, April (Ethan) Wolf of Kellogg; and three grandchildren, Carson, Hailey, and Ava; her father, Alton Schroeder of Elgin; one sister, Renee (Merlin) Stephan, Highland Park, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ardyce, and daughter, Melissa.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin, with Pastor Terrill Bramstedt officiating. Burial will follow the service in Elgin Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin, and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
