Constance "Connie" Jean Fix, 72, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Season Hospice House in Rochester. She was born February 5, 1949, in Osage, Iowa to Albert and Laura (Duponcheele) Vervaecke.

Connie grew up in Iowa attending elementary school in Carpenter and graduating in 1967 from St. Ansgar High School in St. Ansgar, Iowa, and attended RCTC in Rochester. On July 5, 1981, she married Larry Fix in Plainview. Connie lived in Windom, Minnesota, prior to moving to Plainview where she was employed by Peoples State Bank for 35 years. In her younger years she loved playing softball. Connie also enjoyed playing golf and watching Netflix. She was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview.

Connie is survived by her loving husband, Larry of Plainview; a son, Steve and his wife Kathy of Commerce Township, MI, a stepson, Michael and his wife Lisa of Apple Valley; four grandchildren, Lauren, Brecken, Kelly, and Tom; two brothers, Robert and his wife Jan Vervaecke of Osage Beach, MO, and Ed Vervaecke of St. Ansgar, IA; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Betty, and sister-in-law, Janice.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Joachim's Catholic Cemetery in Plainview. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, at the Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
