Obituary

The funeral service for Corvin M. Cox will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7th, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church – West Albany in rural Millville, with Father Joseph P. Pete officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery – West Albany in rural Millville with Military Rites by the Lake City VFW Post #8729 and Lake City American Legion Post #110.

Mr. Cox, 82, of Theilman, died Tuesday morning, February 4, 2014 at Lake City Care Center in Lake City.

Corvin Marion Cox was born August 28, 1931 in David, IA to Charlie and Edith (Ruthledge) Cox. He attended school in Austin, MN and Lake City. Corvin served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1957, and worked on the Coral Sea ship. He worked in the Iron Range for a while and then moved to Theilman in 1958 and farmed there ever since until his retirement in 2004. On September 11, 1971 he married Diane Olson at St. Patrick's Catholic Church – West Albany in rural Millville. He entered the Lake City Care Center in 2008. Corvin enjoyed farming, going dancing, playing cards, snowmobiling, football especially the MN Vikings, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Corvin is survived by his wife Diane Cox of Theilman; two daughters, Tina (Mike) Waller of Lake City, and Valerie (Jon) Trzesniewski of Minneiska; and six grandchildren, Cole, Bree, Abigail, Micah, Julius, and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brother, and six sisters.

Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday, February 7th, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church – West Albany in rural Millville.
