Obituary

The funeral service for Daniel L. Larson will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11th, at Hilltop Fellowship Church, 58451 County Road 2, rural Millville, with Rev. Steve Buss officiating. Military Rites will be by the Millville American Legion Post #579 following the service.

Mr. Larson, 64, of rural Millville, passed away at his home on Monday, April 6, 2015 with his family by his side.

Daniel Lee Larson was born June 6, 1950 in Lake City, MN to Ronald and Grace (Warren) Larson. He attended elementary school in rural Wabasha County Schools and in Farmington, MN, and then the family moved to West Fargo, ND where he finished his schooling. Dan served in the US Army from November 17, 1969 to November 5, 1971. On July 15, 1972 he married Patricia Weber in Hillsboro, ND.

For the past 32 years the Larson's have lived in rural Millville where Dan farmed and was a truck driver for K.W. McKee through other ownership name changes for 38 years retiring in 2012. Dan enjoyed spending his time tinkering, going to auctions, riding his motorcycle and going fishing. He especially enjoyed teaching his grandkids to fish and play checkers and card games. Dan was a member of the Teamsters Union and Hilltop Fellowship Church.

Dan is survived by his wife, Pat Larson of Millville; one daughter, Cori Larson of Rochester; two sons, Josh Larson of Altura, and Jon (Lara) Larson of Lake City; five grandchildren; his mother, Grace Larson of West Fargo, ND; a sister, Clemmie (Brian) Buzick of West Fargo, ND; and two brothers, Ronnie (Jackie) Larson of Harwood, ND and Howard (Cathy) Larson of Jamestown, ND. He was preceded in death by his father, an infant son, and his grandparents.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel in Lake City, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
