Daniel Frank Steffenhagen
March 15, 1962 – January 31, 2022
Angels came for Danny Monday, January 31, 2022 . Took him to Heaven to be with his loving parents Donald and Virginia Steffenhagen. Danny, 59, was born in Minneapolis, MN. Grew up in Old Frontenac and settled in Lake City.
He was an excellent carpenter, a skill he inherited from his Dad. Working with Troy, one of his best buddies, they made a great team. He also had worked for Kirby Rigelman in Frontenac and Ken Smith Construction in Red Wing.
Danny loved fishing and hunting with his brother Ted. Camping on the mountain in Ted's hunting shack and fishing on Lake Pepin. He was called Mountain Man by many, many friends who loved him. He enjoyed many summers camping with Zeb, Liz and friends at their campsite.
Survivors include his children: Noah Steffenhagen and Summer (Eric) Marking. Further survived by his grandchildren: Julian Steffenhagen, Scarlett and Isabella Marking. Brother, Ted Steffenhagen. Sisters, Sharron Meincke, Jean (Dwight) Dankers and Helen (Dan) Wurst.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald F. and Virginia Steffenhagen.
A graveside service will be held at Old Frontenac Cemetery in the spring.
