Deborah "Deb" Lynn VanHeiden, 61, of Rochester, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Methodist Campus with her family by her side. She was born March 9, 1960, in Rochester to Allen and Darlene (Ostrander) Parkinson. She graduated from Elgin High School. In 1985 she married Charles Van Heiden in Millville.

Deb lived most of her adult life in Rochester. She worked as a nurse scheduler for Mayo Clinic for 23 years. Deb enjoyed watching and going to movies, cooking, and loved to go shopping. Most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Deb is survived by her children, Cassy (Rodney) Knudson of Spring Valley, IL and Rick (Ashley) VanHeiden of Ashton, IA; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; her mother Darlene Aufenthie of Rochester; her father, Allen Parkinson; and two brothers, Kenny (Stacey) Parkinson of Millville and Jeff Parkinson of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Charley.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview, with Pastor Anna Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Millville Cemetery in Millville. Friends and family may visit on Friday, February 25 starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
