DeLoris Evelyn Tesmer, 95, of Plainview and formerly of Zumbro Falls, passed away Wednesday morning, January 8, 2025, at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. She was born on April 16, 1929, in Lake City to David and Dorothy (Wiley) Fuller. DeLoris attended school in Plainview graduating from Plainview High School in 1947. On September 29, 1951, she married the love of her life Louis Tesmer at the Congregational Church of Christ in Rochester.

DeLoris was employed by St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester in the laundry and central services for 20 years from 1971 until her retirement in 1991. She enjoyed spending her time making several kinds of craft projects, knitting, embroidering, and sewing.

DeLoris is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Don) Schleck of Altura and Dawn (Glenn) Shones of Plainview; a son, Cary (Dixie) Tesmer of Warba, MN; seven grandchildren, Macey (Daryl) Seidel, Todd Schleck, Bryan (Susan) Schleck, Dara (AJ) Santiago, Dori Petroff, Chuck Radtke, and Christina (Andy) Hodge, seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; and 7 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Brenda and Melody, a son, Charles, and two brothers, Francis and Glenn.

A special thank you from the family to the staff at Green Prairie Assisted Living and Rehabilitation Center, and Mayo Hospice for their excellent care of DeLoris.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel with Pastor Colleen Hoeft officiating. The burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials are preferred in memory of DeLoris to the Zumbro Valley Food Shelf, or to the donor's choice.
