Diane Helen Murray, 79, of Lake City, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Peace Hospice House in St. Paul. She was born on November 27, 1945, in Rockford, Illinois to parents Florence and John Greenlee. Diane grew up in Marengo, Illinois where she attended school and graduated from high school in 1963.

Diane moved to Minnesota and attended Worthington Community College and received her LPN license in 1980. She worked at several hospitals over the years in Minnesota, Nebraska, and then moved to Lake City where she worked at the Lake City Hospital before going into Private Duty Homecare. After retiring from nursing Diane worked seasonally at the Pepin Heights Orchard as an apple inspector.

In her free time Diane loved to crochet and enjoyed spending her winters in Fort Myers, Florida with her longtime partner, Fred Canfield. She served as a volunteer with the Lake City Ambulance Service and was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Lake City.

Diane is survived by her children, Timothy (Amanda) Murray of Bellevue, Nebraska and Kelly (Kyle Eichenberger) Murray of St. Paul, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Creighton, Carter, Casey, and Addison Murray, Cole and Leda Eichenberger; and her twin brother, Dale (Barbara) Greenlee of California.

An interment service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 23, at First Lutheran Church Columbarium in Lake City with Pastor Kary Jonas officiating.
