Diane Marie Schroeder, 75, of Rochester, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Samaritan Bethany on Eighth in Rochester. She was born April 22, 1945 in Goodhue County to Ludvig and Clara (Gjemse) Johnson. She grew up in the Zumbrota area and attended school in Zumbrota graduating in 1963. On October 1, 1966 she married Marlow Schroeder at Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota.

Diane was employed by Telex Communications in Rochester for 32 years, she also worked at the Gingerbread House for 8 years retiring in 2011. Diane loved raising her family and spending time with them and her grandchildren, she babysat her grandson Ryan until he went to school. In 2003 she moved to Rochester. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hammond.

Diane is survived by son, Michael (Suesan) Schroeder of Zumbro Falls; son-in-law, Tim Goergen of Elgin; two grandchildren, Ryan and Shelby; sisters, Evelyn (Lloyd) Banitt of Zumbrota, Gayle (Duane) Strain of Byron, and LaVonne Carlson of Welch; and brothers, Lowell (Peggy) Johnson of Grand Junction, CO and Roger (Jean) Johnson of Pine Island. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Nancy Goergen, sisters, Eileen, Lorraine, Phyllis, Marlys, and Dolores, and brothers, Kenneth and Maurice.

A memorial service for Diane will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, with Pastor Dale Kohrs officiating. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at the Millville Cemetery in Millville. Please follow the COVID-19 guidelines, masks are encouraged.
