The funeral for Donna Mae Irish will be 11:00 Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview with Pastor Phil Augustine officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview.
Donna M. Irish, 72, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Rochester Mayo Clinic, St. Mary's Hospital Campus.
Donna Mae Irish was born in Plainview, MN on September 5, 1943. Her parents were Leon and Agnes (Bade) Selke. She attended Woodland Grade School and Graduated from Plainview High School in 1961. Donna married Roger Irish Oct. 19, 1963 in Plainview. She has lived all of her 72 years in Plainview. Donna worked for several years as a Daycare Provider. Then in 1984, she went to work for Lannings Food Center working as a baker until her retirement in 2008. Donna enjoyed crossword puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren, attending kids sporting events, visiting casinos and reading. She was a member of the Plainview American Legion Auxiliary, Dorcas Club, and Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Donna is survived by her husband Roger; one daughter, Marcy (Michael) Standinger of Plainview; two sons, Corey (Amanda) Irish of Lakeville, MN and Randy (Jennifer) Irish of Plainview; three sisters: Elaine (Mike) Burns of Wabasha, MN, Darlene (Bud) Dorman of Lancaster, CA, and Kathleen (Jim) Connaughty of Goodview, MN; nine Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Sarah, Joe, Tia, Baighley, Kennedy, Ellie, Claudia and Charlie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dale and sister, LaVonne Potter.
Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
