Doris Marie Grovdahl, 66, of Red Wing and formerly of Millville, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Bay View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Red Wing. She was born August 25, 1955, in Wabasha to John and Mildred (Sexton) Dick. She attended school in Millville and graduated from the Elgin High School in 1974. On September 19, 1992, she married the love of her life George Grovdahl in Stewartville.

Doris was employed by the Ability Building Center in Rochester for many years while living in Millville, Rochester, and Stewartville. She enjoyed going shopping, dancing, making jewelry and many other crafts, playing bingo, and loved watching the MN Twins. Most of all she loved the family gatherings.

Doris is survived by her brothers and sisters, Mary (Robert) Press of Pinckney, MI, Peter (Janet) Dick of Windsor, CO, Jerry (Paula) Dick of Elgin, Dale (Jeanne) Dick of Hosmer, SD, Rita (Mark) Schmitt of Rogers, and Randy (Jane) Dick of St. Charles, and sister-in-law Jan (Don) Flatness of Glenville.. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church – West Albany in rural Millville with Father Matthew Fasnacht officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Evanger Lutheran Cemetery at Sargeant. Friends and family may visit from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.

Memorials are preferred to Ability Building Center in Rochester.
