Dorothy Van Schaick Kranz, 100, died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview, MN.  She was born April 24, 1918 to Gottfred and Hilda (Minter) Rubin in Rochester, MN.

Dorothy married George M. Van Schaick in Charles City, IA on May 13, 1936.  He later died on October 25, 1986. On September 28, 1991 she married Ernest W. Kranz in Millville, MN; he died on February 27, 2004.

Dorothy was a farm homemaker, and was employed for 20 years at Libby's in Rochester.

Dorothy is survived by her two children, Joan "Susie" (Neil) Richards of Wabasha, and Raymond (Marilyn) Van Schaick of Spring Valley; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two husband, three sons, Fabian, Francis, and James, four sisters, four brothers, one grandson, and three great-grandchildren.

Family Graveside service will be on Tuesday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester with Rev. Jack Miller officiating.

Grandma will be escorted on her last walk by her grandchildren, Michelle Van Schaick Stark, George Van Schaick, Lisa Richards Voth, Raymond Van Schaick, Renae Van Schaick Hisey, Adam Van Schaick, Kevin Deyo, and Kenneth Deyo. The other three grandchildren are, Travis Van Schaick, Stephanie Brazil both of Billings, MT, and Michael Van Schaick of Millville.
