The funeral service for Ernest C. Sprick will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14th, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City, MN with Pastor Daniel R. Kroll officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City.

Mr. Sprick, 86, of Lake City died Friday afternoon, January 10, 2014 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center Hospital in Wabasha, MN.

Ernest Clarence Sprick was born June 16, 1927 in Lake City, MN to Christopher and Margaret (Ehlers) Sprick. He attended rural Wabasha County Schools. Ernest was a lifetime Lake City area farmer. On June 28, 1950 he married Dona Vay Feldges in Lake City. Ernest collected antique tractors, enjoyed going bowling and playing cards. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City.

Ernest is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dona Vay Sprick of Lake City; one son, Dale (Mary) Sprick of Lake City; three granddaughters, Nicole, Catherine, and Emily; one sister-in-law, Shirley Sprick of Bay City, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and five brothers.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel in Lake City, and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Tuesday.
