Florence "Minnie" Irene Komisar, 95, of Millville, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.  She was born August 19, 1925 in Millville to Fredrick and Agnes (Cain) Schuchard, Sr. She attended school in Millville and Plainview. On September 28, 1946 she married Peter Komisar in Eyota.

Over the years Florence worked for Harold's Produce, Waters Connolly, and IBM in Rochester. Later she worked at Lakeside Canning Factory in Plainview until her retirement. Florence lived in the Millville area on a farm and moved into Millville in 1970. She belonged to Grace United Church of Christ in Millville. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, tending to her flowers, entertaining company, and her cat Sadie. She loved baking pies, bread, and cakes.

Florence is survived by her three daughters, Ruth Ann (Chester) Briggs of Millville, Katie (Leo) Piotrowski of Arrey, NM, and Anita (Larry) Loos of Millville; 10 grandkids, 22 great-grandkids, and 12 great-great-grandkids; a sister, Judy (Wayne) Holton of Jamestown, KS; two sisters-in-law, Marlene Schuchard of Lake City, and Arlene Schuchard of Pine Island. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Peter in 2000, a grandson in 2001, and 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

A visitation will be held at Grace United Church of Christ in Millville on Friday, May 28 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 29 at Grace United Church of Christ with Pastor Ana Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Millville Cemetery.
