The funeral service for Gary L. Holderbecker will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10 ^th , at St. Paul's Church in Theilman with Pastor Charles G. Coggins officiating.  Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery in Millville, with Military Rites by the Lake City VFW Post #8729 and Lake City American Legion Post #110.

Mr. Holderbecker, 67, of Millville, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Rochester.

Gary Lee Holderbecker was born January 8, 1947 in Parkers Prairie, MN to Alvin and Myrtle (Ziesemer) Holderbecker. He attended school at Appleton, MN. Gary served in the US Army from October 9, 1967 to March 13, 1972, as a Helicopter Mechanic in Vietnam. After his military service he attended Vocational School in Watertown, SD. In 1976 Gary moved to Wabasha County. On August 26, 1978 he married Patricia Evers in Lake City.

Gary hauled camper-trailers from Indiana to Minneapolis for several years. He then worked at Federal Mogul in Lake City for 32 years retiring in March 2009. Gary enjoyed spending time gardening, cutting wood, and going fishing. He especially loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. Gary was a member of the Lake City VFW Post #8729.

Gary is survived by his wife, Pat Holderbecker of Millville, three sister, Carol (Harry) Baker of Maple Grove, Sandra (Daryl) Stroman of Chaska, and Gail (Mark) Miller of Millville; and two brothers, Roger (Gwen) Holderbecker of Shakopee and Milo (Gayle) Holderbecker of Bemidji. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 ^th , at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview, and one hour prior to the service at the Church in Theilman on Thursday.
