The memorial service for Gary A. Kettner will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview with Pastor Cooper Wiggen officiating. Burial will follow the service at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.

Mr. Kettner, 70, of Rochester, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 15, 2015 at Golden Living Center – Rochester East.

Gary Alfred Kettner was born February 4, 1945 in Rochester to Alfred and Mavis (Moyer) Kettner. He lived his entire lifetime in the Rochester area. Gary attended school at Dover-Eyota graduating from high school in 1963. On October 28, 1967 he married Judith Karsten in Rochester.

Gary worked for Bernard Motors in Chatfield for 15 years, and then at CATCO in Rochester as a Heavy Duty Truck Parts Salesperson for 31 years retiring in 2011. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. Gary was a member of the Eagles Club in Rochester.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Judy Kettner, and one son, Jeffrey G. Kettner both of Rochester; two grandchildren, Justin E. Kettner and Allison Clausen; two sisters, Donna J. (Dan) Brandt of Eyota, and Susan K. Brandt of Theilman; and one brother-in-law, Clarence L. Schleusner of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Darlene, one brother-in-law, Ralph Brandt, and one son, William.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
