The funeral service for Harold M. Wiebusch will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25th, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City with Pastor John Berg officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City following the service.

Mr. Wiebusch, 89, of Rochester, and formerly of Lake City, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at his home at Meadow Lakes Senior Living in Rochester with his family by his side.

Harold Michael Wiebusch was born August 11, 1925 in Gillford Township, Wabasha County, to John and Lucina (Schumann) Wiebusch. He grew up on the family farm and attended Wabasha County Rural School. He then worked for his uncle, Lawrence Schumann before he was married. On November 9, 1948 he married Margery Stelling at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City.

Harold lived most of his life in the Lake City area where he farmed in rural Lake City. After retiring from farming in 1990 he and Marge moved to Lake City and worked as funeral assistants for Schleicher Funeral Homes in Lake City and Plainview from 1994 until they retired in 2011. During this time Harold also worked part-time for the Farmers Elevator during the spring planting and fall harvest season, as well as picking apples for Pepin Heights Orchard for a few years. In 2011they moved to Rochester to be closer to their family.

Harold was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. He also served on the Oak Center Creamery Board. Harold enjoyed going to dances and playing cards, go to Casino's, and to watch western movies. He loved his family and spending time with them and especially he enjoyed his grandkids very much.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 66+ years, Margery G. Wiebusch of Rochester; one daughter, Sue Wiebusch of Rochester; and two sons, Gary H. (Cindy) Wiebusch of Byron and Mike J. (Marilyn) Wiebusch of Zumbro Falls; 4 grandchildren, John, Mandy, Lindsay, and Matt, and 5 great-grandchildren Aiden, Evan, Garrett, Mason, and McKenzie; three sisters, Loa (Floyd) Olson, Margaret (Clifford) Rabe, and Julia (Harold "Bud") Siefert all of Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ervin and one infant sister, Lucille.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel in Lake City and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
