Irma M. Mickow, 94, of Zumbro Falls, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at her home in rural Zumbro Falls surrounded by her loving family.

Irma Matilda Herrick was born April 21, 1919 in Oronoco Township, Olsmted County, MN to Walter and Loula (Rolph) Herrick. She attended rural schools in the Hammond area. On September 16, 1939 she married George J. Mickow in Cresco, IA; he died on October 14, 1962. Irma was a farm homemaker, and spent her lifetime in the Hammond area. She enjoyed cooking and collecting and reading cookbooks and gardening.

Irma is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" (Roxanne) Mickow of Zumbro Falls; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Sue; one son, Ken; four sisters, and one brother.

Friends and family may visit from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel in Lake City. A Private Family Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City.
