The funeral service for Irvin Diderrich will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church – West Albany in rural Millville, with Father Matthew Fasnacht officiating.  Burial will be in St. Clements Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.

Irvin Edward Diderrich passed away Sunday morning, October 13, 2019 at his home at Root River Estates in Stewartville.  He was born July 16, 1929 in Quincy Township, Olmsted County to Edward and Leola (Hansen) Diderrich.  He grew up and attended school in the Dover/Eyota area.  On September 18, 1950 he married Helen Laqua at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in West Albany.

Irvin worked for Benike Construction for over 30 years.  They moved to Viola in 1958 and in December of 2018 he moved to Stewartville.  Irvin enjoyed going hunting and 4-wheeling, horses, and all sports.  He especially enjoyed softball and played on a Seniors League in Rochester for many years until the age of 87.  Irvin also loved the game of baseball and played Amateur Baseball for many years.

Irvin is survived by his children, Tim Diderrich of Zumbro Falls, Ervin J. (Joanie) Diderrich of Sheridan, WY, and Susan Mueller of Rochester; 8; grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and his best friend, Bear, his dog.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen, sister, Elaine, two sons, Tommy and Edward, and a great-grandson, Edward.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
