Janice "Jan" J. Haessig – Madden, 80, of Rochester, passed away Friday evening, May 5, 2017 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.

Janice Joan Haessig was born January 21, 1937 in Lake City to Delbert and Pearl (Raymond) Haessig. She attended Plainview schools and graduated from Plainview High School in 1956. She lived her entire life timed in the Plainview and Rochester area.

Jan was employed by Michaels Restaurant in Rochester, and also at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester retiring after 25 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, and ceramics. Jan loved to go dancing, and walking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her friends at Fontaine Towers.

Jan is survived by her three daughters, Sandra (Leroy) Learmont of Theilman, Camille "Cammi" Reber of Kasson, and Shannon Gamble of Peoria, AZ; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Karen Bell and Rosemary "Mitzi" (Pete) Johnson both of Phoenix, AZ; and one brother, Robert "Bob" Haessig of Plainview. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters, and one grandson.

No services are planned, at Jan's request. Memorials are preferred to Seasons Hospice.
