Jeffery "JJ" Allen Wilson, 62, of Plainview, passed away Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025, at the Seasons Hospice House in Rochester. He was born on October 26, 1962, in Newark, Illinois to Carmen and Ruth (Eckert) Wilson. Jeff grew up attending school in Illinois and Virginia and graduated from Wabasha – Kellogg High School.

Jeff was a Master Mechanic at Lakeside Foods in Plainview for 45 years. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, fishing, and working on vehicles. Jeff was described as one of the best people you could ever meet by everyone who knew him. He was compassionate humble and a man who put family first, always. Jeff was a pillar of strength and showed unwavering support to anyone who needed it.

Jeff is survived by his two daughters, Amanda (Lucas) Bakkestuen of Cloquet, and Kirsten (Dylan) Wilson of Zumbro Falls; three grandchildren, Evan, Hailey, and Madalyn; sisters, Peggy (Rich) Mehrkens of Goodhue, Betty (Jeff) Arens and Lisa (Brad) Gusa both of Kellogg, and Karen Nestler of Grand Meadow; and brothers, Jim (Becky) Wilson and Carmen (Carolyn) Wilson both of Winona, and Mark (Paw) Wilson of Faribault. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held for Jeff from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel. The burial will follow the memorial service at Rushford Lutheran Cemetery in Rushford.
