Joan Draxler, 82, of Rochester and formerly of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Cottagewood Senior Communities in Rochester.

Joan Marie Murphy was born May 31, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA to William and Anna (Krause) Murphy. She graduated from high school in 1950 in New Salem, NJ. On June 21, 1955 she married John Draxler in Cheltenham, PA. After their marriage they lived in Madison, WI until 1967 when they moved to Marshall, WI. In 2000 they moved to Plainview, MN and June 2012 Joan moved to Rochester.

Joan is survived by her three sons, Chris (Janice) Draxler of Elgin, MN, Tim (Kathy) Draxler of Verona, WI, and Neil Draxler of Fountain, MN; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on June 1, 2012, and one sister, Claire.

No services are planned at this time burial will be at a later date in New Jersey.
