The funeral service for JoAnne Beaman will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin with Pastor Frederick Morck and Pastor Roger Polansky officiating.  Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora, CA at a later date.

JoAnne Arnina Beaman, 81, of Glendora, CA and formerly of Elgin, MN passed away early Monday morning, September 17, 2018 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.  JoAnne was born July 18, 1937 in Rochester, MN to Carlton and Arnina (Polikowsky) Tradup.  She grew up in the Elgin area in Minnesota, and attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Elgin High School in 1955, she went on to attend college.  She married John "Jack" Beaman on April 7, 1956 in Elgin.

JoAnne worked as a bank teller at a Rochester Bank before they moved to California in 1956.  She continued working at a Bank while living in California and became the Bank Manager at Security Pacific Bank.  After her retirement in 1990, JoAnne and Jack enjoyed traveling the world, and using their motorhome to see the US.

JoAnne was a member of the Lutheran Women's Ministry League at her church, and was a very giving person enjoying helping people at church.  She felt very blessed with the birth of her grandkids, and very saddened with the loss of her son, John.  JoAnne enjoyed going shopping, making blankets, and spoiling her grandkids.  She loved growing flowers, roses being one of her favorites.  Her kids and grandkids always felt blessed they could come to her for help and strength.

JoAnne is survived by her loving husband, Jack Beaman of Glendora, CA; daughter, Julie Teeter of Ontario, CA; four grandchildren, Linsey, Lauren, Jake, and J.J., and four great-grandchildren, Landon, Jack, Logan, and Weston; and a sister, Janet (Wesley) Moore of Elgin.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son, John, and two brothers.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
