John "Jack" Joseph Dondlinger, 88, of Lake City and formerly of Millville, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at his home at The Bluffs in Lake City. He was born October 29, 1932 in Minneiska to Leo and Agnes (Stroot) Donlinger. He attended rural Winona County Schools and Plainview High School. On April 23, 1957 he married Mary Lou Montgomery in Pheonix, Arizona.

After marriage the Dondlinger's operated the Corner Bar in Plainview until 1960, and Jack drove truck for Patterson Quarries. They then owned and operated the Dondlinger Bar in Millville from 1960 -1978. Jack also farmed with his son John for many years. He enjoyed visiting casinos, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching professional football. In 2017 Jack moved to The Bluff's in Lake City.

Jack is survived by his two children, Tammy (Larry) Piotrowicz of Eyota, and John (Lori) Dondlinger of Millville; six granddaughters, Katie, Jennifer (Kasey), Melissa (Paul), Michele, Stephanie (Mark), and Sara (Nick), and seven great-grandchildren, Lauryn, Vayda, Wes, Willa, Max, London, and Tristan; brothers, Don (Jean Springer) Donlinger of Millville, Kenneth (Rita) Dondlinger of Kellogg, Dale (Judy) Donlinger, and James Donlinger both of Rochester, and sisters, Kay (Lloyd) Blattner of Millville and Charlotte (Richard) Spurck of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers, Richard and Robert, and sister, Shirley.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, November 11 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel. Masks are required and please practice social distancing. A private family service will be held later, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Minneiska.
