John "Jack" Robert Beck, 80, of Plainview, passed away early Saturday morning, May 9, 2020 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. He was born August 17, 1939 in Wabasha to Emil and Helen (Klein) Beck. Jack grew up and attended rural Wabasha County Schools and Elgin High School. On November 15, 1958 he married Virginia Tri at the Little Brown Church in Iowa and they were later divorced.

Jack was a heavy equipment operator for various constructions companies over the years, he retired in 2015. He lived and worked in Southeastern Minnesota, North Dakota, and Colorado before moving back to Minnesota in 2016. Jack was a member of the Local 49'ers Union.

Jack loved to spend time playing euchre with his family and friends.  He enjoyed going hunting and fishing, playing softball, bowling, and golf.

Jack is survived by his four daughters, Kathy Beck of Millville, Pam (Dennis) Schuchard of Elgin, Lori (John) Dondlinger of Millville, and Kim (John) Schuchard of Millville; nine grandchildren, Brent, Joshua, Brooke, Kyle, Stephanie, Nicole, Chantel, Sara, and Tyler; and 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jeanette, two brothers, Marvin and Myron, a niece, Jeannie, and a nephew, Bob.

A private family graveside service will be held in the Millville Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date.
