The Funeral Mass for Joseph "Joe" Kohn will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City, with Father Matthew Fasnacht officiating.  Burial will be in St. Clements Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.

Joseph Steven Kohn, 102, of Lake City passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Mayo Clinic Health Center – Lake City Care Center.  He was born June 22, 1917 in Oakwood Township, Wabasha County, to Mathias and Mary (Hofschulte) Kohn.  He grew up and attended rural Wabasha County School.

Joe farmed his entire lifetime in Zumbro Township, Wabasha County.  He loved his cars, and every couple of years you would see Joe pulling into Hammond with a 'new car'.  He also loved buying new tractors for his farm.  Joe loved to dance to old country music.  His favorite quote was "That's the way it is".  Joe was a former member of St. Clements Catholic Church in Hammond and former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in West Albany, and currently at member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City.

Joe is survived by three sisters, Alvina Tiedeman of Lake City, Olivia Funk of Rochester, and Anna Mae Darcy of Mazeppa; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Laura, Angela, Rose, Geraldine, and Mary Anne; and one brother, Arnold.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18 at the church until the time of service.
