Joyce J. Greer, 94, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Elysian Senior Living in Lake City. He was born in the Lake City Hospital on August 7, 1930, to Vernon and Mary (Komisar) Greer.

Joyce grew up on the family farm near Zumbro Falls, MN and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. He then farmed for 47 years near Millville, MN. He enjoyed farming and watching anything about wildlife and nature.

Joyce moved into Lake City in 2000 and enjoyed walking in Frontenac State Park many times where he felt closer to God and the beautiful things that were created. He enjoyed going to the Lake City Burger King and the Lake City Library almost every day.

Joyce was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lawrence of Richland, WA and Arvie of Rochester, MN, and one sister, Ida Mae of Rochester, MN. He is survived by four nieces and four nephews, and by his beautiful black cat, Kitty.

At his request he will be cremated with Interment in the Millville Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, with Pastor Gwen Buckingham officiating.
