Justin Kraig Wurst, 27, of Davenport, Florida and formerly of Plainview, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from complications of diabetes, which he has battled since the age of 3 at his home in Davenport, Florida. He was born February 11, 1998, in Rochester, Minnesota to Karl and Jolene (Roth) Wurst. He was baptized on March 22, 1998, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin.

Justin grew up attending school at the Plainview-Elgin-Millville schools graduating in 2016. Justin attended RCC and Winona State until 2021 when he went to work at Disney World in Florida. Justin enjoyed sports, especially all of the Minnesota Sports teams, spending time with family and friends and going to the beach. He was known for his courageous smile.

Justin is survived by his parents, Karl and Jolene Wurst of Plainview; two brothers, Jacob Wurst of Rochester and Kaleb (Fiancé Maggie) Wurst of Stanley, Wisconsin; and a niece Thea Wurst of Rochester; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Mary Ann Wurst of Plainview; and maternal grandparents, Roger and Karen Roth of Houston, MN.

Other survivors include his aunts and uncles, Kraig & Jenny Wurst, Kari Wurst, Jerred Roth, Heidi Roth, Joelle Roth, and Dustin Seekamp. His first cousins, Abigail, Callie, Cade, Clint, Kyleigh, Keahna, Kaitlyn, Violet, Vince, Vienna, and Vale.

The funeral service for Justin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin, with Pastor Josh Moldenhauer officiating. The burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview.  Friends and family may visit from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, at the Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
