The memorial service for Karla E. Miller will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 21, 2025, at Peace United Methodist Church in rural Elgin/Plainview, with Pastor Abigail Ozanne officiating. The burial will follow the service at the Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday, May 21.

Karla Emma (Sander) Miller, 88, of Plainview, MN passed away at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center on Friday, May 16, 2025. She was born on September 7, 1936, in Lakefield, MN to Hugo and Norma (Wiese) Sander. Karla grew up and graduated from Lakefield High School. On November 23, 1958, she married Jerry Miller in Lakefield, MN.

Karla spent her early years knitting, crocheting and sewing. She enjoyed watching her kids, grandkids and great grandkids in many high school sports. Karla was a member of the Peace United Methodist church.

Karla is survived by four children Julie (Denny) Youngwirth of Camdenton, MO, Cary (Michelle) Miller of Plainview, Lori (LaVerne Jr.) Steffen of Plainview, and Jeff (Rhonda) Miller of Eyota. 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 1 sister Jeanie Wilcox of Zumbrota and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, her mother, her stepfather and two sisters.
