The funeral service for Kathleen "Kathy" Haug will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, at the Community Presbyterian Church in Plainview, with Pastor John Curtiss officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview.

Kathleen Teresa Haug, 71, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.  She was born March 21, 1948 in Faribault, to Harold and Adeline (Brekken) Lenway.  Kathy attended school and graduated from Kenyon High School and then went on to RCTC in Rochester.  On July 17, 1971 she married James Haug in Kenyon.

Kathy and James lived in Plainview where they raised their family, and Kathy worked as a Para-professional at Plainview Schools for many years.  She was a master seamstress, a gifted artist, and enjoyed baking and cooking.  Kathy especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her husband, James Haug of Plainview; a son Jim Haug of Roseau, and daughter, Erica (Pablo) Haug-Gonzalez of Plainview; grandchildren, Savannah and friend Jake, Isaiah, Samantha (Justin), and Shelby; siblings, David Lenway of Faribault, Judy (Jarvis) Anderson of Plainview, Mark (Mary) Lenway of Kenyon, Deb Lenway of Faribault, Galen (Debbie) Lenway of Faribault, and Gary (Linda) Lenway of Lakewood, CO.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard "Dick", and a sister Barbara.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday.
