Obituary

The funeral service for Kermith Eppen will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City with Pastor Steven Frentz officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City.

Kermith William Eppen, 77, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his home.  He was born October 11, 1941 in Red Wing to Hallas and Lorena (Fitschen) Eppen.  He graduated from Goodhue High School in 1959.  On April 28, 1963 he married Geraldine Stahnke at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Belvidere.

Kerm and Gerri lived in Lake City where he owned and operated Kermie Eppen Trucking for many years.  He was a member and very active in Bethany Lutheran Church, and a member of the Goodhue Lions Club.  Kermith enjoyed going fishing, spending time with his family and friends, having coffee with his friends, and really enjoyed his grandchildren.

Kermith is survived by his wife Geraldine Eppen of Lake City; sons, Matthew (Amy) Eppen of Rosemount, and Michael (Darla) Eppen of Caledonia; four grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) Klug,  Ryan (Brooke) Eppen, and Avery Eppen, and Natalee Eppen; a great-granddaughter, Marah Klug; sisters, Shari (Pastor Dale) Kohrs, Connie (Richard) DeFrang both of Lake City, and Marcine (Mike) Hunter of Pearl, MS.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  He will be missed by many.

Friends and family may visit from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, at the church.
