Lawrence Zorn was born in Chester Township, Wabasha County, to John and Margaret (Biever) Zorn on February 28, 1928. He died on August 11, 2014 in Rochester.
Lawrence grew up in the Bellechester area, he was involved in a farming partnership with his brother John. He was also a salesmen for Renk Seed Corn. Following his retirement he lived in Rochester where he owned and operated real estate rentals. Lawrence married Agnes Koenigs at the Little Brown Church in Iowa.
Lawrence is survived by his wife Agnes of Rochester; three sisters, Betty Johnson of Milpitas, CA, Alice Mae Frie of Fountain City, WI, and Mardella (Rolland) Arnold of Red Wing; and one brother Marvin Zorn of Red Wing. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Justine Perrotte and Beulah Wahlin; two brothers, Clarence and John; one sister-in-law, Trudy Zorn; and two brother-in-laws, Glen Wahlin and Gaylord Frie.
The funeral service for Lawrence Zorn will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellechester, with Father Paul Kubista officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Bellechester. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel in Lake City, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
