The memorial service for Leanne Weis will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, at the Church of Christ in Plainview with Pastor Bob Blanshan and Pastor Chuck Coggins co-officiating.

Leanne Rhae Weis, 70, of Plainview, passed away Friday morning, September 27, 2019 at her home in rural Plainview.  She was born June 10, 1949 in Plainview to Raymond and Doris (Ward) Ohm.  She grew up and attended rural Wabasha County School and Plainview Public School.  On September 16, 1972 she married Peter Weis in Plainview.

Leanne lived her entire lifetime in the Plainview area.  She was a farm homemaker, busy helping with the farm work, gardening, sewing, quilting, and she enjoyed working on the family genealogy.

Leanne is survived by her husband, Peter Weis of Plainview; two daughters, Reneé Waas and Laura (Jeremy) Littlefield both of Plainview, three sons, Dean Waas of Hayfield, Jeff (Jessica) Weis of Eyota, and Robby (Amber) Weis of Plainview; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Pantel of California, and a brother, James "Jim" (Ruth) Ohm of Millville.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Richard Ohm and Paul "Chip" Ohm.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
