The memorial service for Leonard "Cork" Jacoby will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23rd, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview with Bill Wohlers officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery in Whitewater Township in Winona County.

Mr. Jacoby, 81, of Plainview, died at his home in Plainview on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

Leonard Walter Jacoby was born August 20, 1932 in Elm Creek, Nebraska, to Leonard and Grace (Stoudard) Laflan. He grew up and attended school in Kearney, NE. Cork married Karon Pugh on June 19, 1982 in Lake Tahoe, NV.

Cork lived in California and Nebraska before moving to Plainview in 1991. He was employed by Lakeside Foods, and High Plains Co-operative in Plainview, and Con-Agra Foods retiring in 1990. He enjoyed spending his time tinkering and shopping.

Cork is survived by two sons, Jesse (Ashlee) Jacoby of Millville and Mitch (Tammy) Jacoby of Idaho; one step-daughter, Fayrene Renay Deering of St. Charles; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Karon on June 18, 2003, and one son, Mike Jacoby.
